The next version of Nintendo’s Wii Fit video game is called Wii Fit Plus.

It plans to help get your inshape by offering more exercises and proviing a easier why to motivate users to stick to their workout schedules.

There is only a little bit of information coming out from the 2009 E3 video game converage, but here’s what we have right now.

Wii Fit Plus is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2009.
The game will come bundled with the Wii Fit Balance Board and also as a stand alone game for those who already have a balance board.

After the smash success that the Wii Fit has had its no surprise that other game publishers will be hoping to get a little piece of the pie.

The most notable competitor is EA Sports Active, but there are also a few other rumors of competitors showing up soon.

At the 2009 E3 video game conference, Microsoft displayed a power new gaming method that let the users play without having to use and form of control named Project Natal. The Mirror has posted an article about why they believe that Natal will be better than Wii Fit.

Finally, Sega has announced their plans to release a Pilates centric game called Daisy Fuentes Pilates

Publishers have been eager to start making some money from the super popular Wii Fit crowd. Electronic Arts has their answer to the fitness video arena is EA Sports Active.

EA Sports Active attempts to appeal to the same demographic that has made Wii Fit and its balance board such a smash success, yet it also tries to differentiate itself in one crucial way.

In Wii Fit the fitness exercises took a more Eastern approach to them with training like yoga and balance-based exercises.

EA Sports Active on the other hand takes a more Western approach to fitness with more high energy exercises. Active tries to target women by developing a collection of activities for them and bringing in Oprah’s fitness guru on board to help develop and promote it.

The game comes equipped with some exercise gear to to use along with the game such as leg straps and resistance bands.

The new fitness video game will cost you $99 to get your fitness on.
